So much changes when you head to university. That’s why the best advice we can give any new student is this: get stuck into a local church!
At Redeemer we don’t just want you to survive university — we want you to thrive here.
We want you to know and love Jesus more than ever before.
We want to surround you with a community of students and church family.
And we want to equip you to serve God wherever life may take you!
SUNDAYS
Our Sunday morning services are the heart of all of life at Redeemer. Week by week we gather as God’s people to worship Him through prayer and song and to meet with Jesus in His Word.
You may be away from your actual parents and siblings, but God wants you to be part of a spiritual family during your time here. That’s why once a month we send our students into various Winchester homes to spend time with other families (and also to enjoy a home cooked meal!)
We also have an evening service that starts at 6PM. This is a bit more laid back, but still includes a time of singing and the opportunity to hear from the Bible. Please stick around after the service as we often enjoy hot food together or head to the pub!
THURSDAYS
Every Thursday evening at 7PM we run a group just for students. We always start by sharing a meal together before jumping into a game.
After that we break into smaller groups to study a book of the Bible or a topic that particularly speaks into the student experience. We finish by praying for each other as we head back out into the world to live for Jesus!
1-2-1’s and Weekend Away
We want every student at Redeemer to be supported in their walk of faith by meeting regularly with another Christian over coffee. You can chat to your 1-2-1 about anything — they are there to answer your questions, to help you through tough times, and to keep pointing you to Jesus.
There’s also a yearly getaway where we head to the beautiful New Forest for a weekend of teaching, worship, and HUGE amounts of fun. You don’t want to miss it.
