That's how long a typical university student will spend here in Winchester (minus the holidays). At Redeemer, we want to help you make the most of each one of those weeks.
During your short time with us, we pray that your faith will be deepened, your mind stretched and your Christian character more firmly established. More than that, we want to leave you trained and equipped for a lifetime of serving Jesus, whatever that may look like for you.
Here’s how you can get involved:
SUNDAY GATHERINGS: It's easy to hide in the student bubble and miss out on the real experience of a mixed, supportive spiritual family. At Redeemer Winchester we encourage students to get stuck in at our family gatherings on Sunday mornings. Some of our students help out by playing music, setting up tech equipment, looking after babies in the morning crèche, serving tea and coffee, or welcoming visitors on the door.
STUDENT CONNECT: Student Connect is a group just for students at 6:30pm each Sunday during term time. We meet at the home of Jonny and Laura Clifton for a good meal together, and then get into smaller groups for Bible study and prayer. Student Connect finishes at about 8.30pm.
ONE TO ONES: Many students find it helpful to meet up one to one with an older Christian to read the Bible and pray together. It’s a great chance to get to know someone who's a bit further down the track in the Christian life. If you’d like to meet up one to one with an older Christian, we’ll try to partner you with someone we think you'll click with.
